About Lumenpswift
Who is behind Lumenpswift — and why it's run this way
A small, deliberate practice built around the idea that real estate advice should feel like advice, not a sales pitch.
Six years in Nakuru's property market — here's what we've learned
Experience in a single market compounds differently than experience spread thin across a region.
Lumenpswift was founded in 2018 by a small group of property professionals who had each spent years inside larger Nairobi-based agencies and grew frustrated by the same recurring problem: clients were handed between departments, files were delayed, and no single person was ever fully accountable for an outcome. The response was to build the opposite — a Nakuru-only practice where every advisor carries a maximum of twelve active files at any one time. That ceiling is not arbitrary; it reflects the number of clients one person can serve properly without cutting corners on communication or due diligence. Since 2018 we have completed over 340 transactions across residential sales, commercial leases, and land transfers in Nakuru County. We have also issued formal valuation reports that have been accepted by Kenya Commercial Bank, Equity Bank, and Stanbic for mortgage and loan purposes. Our team currently comprises four licensed professionals, each with a minimum of five years of field experience in Kenyan property law and transaction management.
How we work — and what we won't do
Clarity about our limits is part of the service.
Every engagement begins with a written brief that sets out the scope, the timeline, and the fee — before any work begins. During a sales mandate, your advisor conducts all viewings personally and reports back within 24 hours of each one. For valuations, the turnaround is five to seven business days from site inspection to written report, and the report clearly distinguishes between current market value and forced-sale value so banks and clients can read it accurately. We do not offer property management beyond the lease-drafting stage — we do not collect rent on behalf of landlords or handle maintenance calls, and we say so from the outset so there are no gaps in expectation. Results in the sales market also depend on factors outside our control — interest rate movements, planning approvals, title dispute resolution times at the land registry — and we never make guarantees about timelines or prices that we cannot back with data. What we can guarantee is that your file will not sit unattended, and your calls will be returned the same business day. The azure-trust approach that defines our brand is not a colour palette choice: it is a commitment to calm, clear, and consistently honest communication.
“What I appreciated most was that they told me upfront the land registry could take six to eight weeks and they couldn't speed that up. Every other agent I spoke to had promised a 'smooth process'. Lumenpswift's honesty was jarring at first, then enormously reassuring as the weeks unfolded exactly as they had described.”
